Return by a different street
A familiar journey can become almost invisible through repetition. Taking a different public route home changes the sequence of views and makes the original route easier to notice again. Even a small detour can reveal a quieter crossing or a patch of afternoon light.
Keep practical needs in mind: lighting, pavement conditions and a safe way back matter more than novelty. If a route is unfamiliar, check a map first and avoid entering private or restricted spaces.
Compare the two walks by describing their character rather than ranking them. One may offer open views while the other gives shelter from wind or more places to stop.
